Day 4 Of The 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event
Friday, 29. January 2010

The fourth day of the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event Poker Championship was short but action packed. Joel Dodds, Steve “The Big Show” Topakas and Dan Shak, winner of the $100,000 Challenge, were amongst the 18 players to start the day and amongst the 10 not to finish it.

Sorel Mizzi dominated play during the afternoon, finishing the day with a 6-1 chip lead over his next closes opponent. “Run good,” he commented with a grin after showing quads in a hand against Kosta Varoxis. With such a massive chip lead, Mizzi is undoubtedly the favorite going into the final table.

Annette Obrestad, the first woman player ever to make the final table at the Aussie Millions Main Event, will be joining her Betfair teammate Sorel at the final table. Last year, Obrestad finished 21st in the Aussie Millions Main Event and won one of the earlier events in the Aussie Millions series. If there is anyone who can catch Mizzi, it’s Obrestad.
