Cake Poker’s twist on the classic game of WAR eliminates the chance aspect of the game and strategy and bluffing move to the forefront. Cake Poker’s game of WAR is an exciting and psychological game where the clever player always wins. WAR is an incredibly simple game to learn so there is no problem for a new player to jump right in and start running.

Cake Poker is offering WAR in two variants: Tactic WAR and Blitz War.

Tactic WAR
In Tactic War, each player receives a set of bid cards with values ranging from 1 through 10. The playing deck is made up of 10 cards with values ranging from 1 through 10 which are shuffled and set face down in the center of the playing table.

With each passing round, a card from the center deck is exposed. All of the participating players much select a card from their bid cards and place it face down in front of them. All of the players’ cards are then flipped simultaneously.

The player that playing the highest value card claims the deck card:



In the event there is a tie, the cards cancel each other out and the player with the next highest card claims the deck card:



In the event that all of the players’ cards are tied, no one claims the deck card and the deck card will remain on the table and is added to the new deck card of the next round. The player that wins the following round will claim all of the accumulated deck cards:




The game continues in this fashion until all of the deck cards have been drawn. The deck cards that players win have a point value equal to the value of the cards. The player with the greatest number of points wins the game.

Blitz WAR
In Blitz WAR, each player is dealt a series of cards ranging in value from 1 through 6. In each round, players are required to select a card from those dealt to them and place it face down. All of the cards are then flipped simultaneously

The player that used the highest value card is given a point:



In the event there is a tie, the cards cancel each other out and the player with the next highest card gets a point:



In the event that all of the players’ cards are tied, no one wins the point and the point is added to the next round. The player that wins the following round will claim all of the accumulated points:



Players continue playing in this fashion until all of players’ cards have been played. The player with the most points at the end wins the game.
