Lots Of Changes For Season 7 Of The PokerStars EPT Barcelona

A lot has changed with the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona for Season 7. EPT Barcelona has traditionally been the tour’s opening stop; however, it will now be held a number of months later in November. The EPT Barcelona Main Event buy-in has gone up to €5,300. The venue of the event has also moved to an annexe of the Gran Casino at the Arts Hotel promising plenty more room.

The Season 6 EPT Barcelona Main Event saw 478 participants battling it out for a massive €3,382,000 prizepool. The first place prize of €850,000 was claimed by Carter Phillips, a PokerStars online qualifier, after he sent Marc Goodwin to the rails.

All of the EPT Barcelona tournaments will be held at the Casino de Barcelona (annexe at The Arts Hotel) and all of the cash games and Sit & Go’s will be held at the Casino Barcelona itself. The EPT Barcelona is scheduled to take place from November 22nd through November 27th.

Tickets to all of the EPT Barcelona events can be purchased from the PokerStars website up until 3 hours prior to the beginning of the desired event. Only members of PokerStars can purchase tickets via PokerStars so if you are not a member then click here and download their free software.
