PokerStars LAPT Making A Stop In Uruguay
Wednesday, 17. February 2010

The PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) will be making a stop in the beautiful Manta Hotel in Punta del Esta, Uruguay where the event is scheduled to begin on February 24th. This will make it the third time that PokerStars is holding their event in this beautiful location famous for its stunning surroundings and vibrant nightlife. PokerStars is estimating that well over 400 players will be making their way to Punta del Esta this year, topping last year’s turnout of 327.

Last year, Karl Hevroy walked away with the first place main event prize of $283,500. With more people scheduled to come to this year’s event and with a new prize structure in place, this year’s winner is likely to take home quite a bit more than that.

The best Latin American players are expected to be in attendance this year including Team PokerStars Pros Leo Fernandez, Alex Gomez and Angel Guillen. Aside from the $3,700 buy-in main event, there are numerous lesser events scheduled with varying buy-ins as well as satellites to the main event and of course plenty of cash games.
