Linda Johnson On Hand At Oklahoma State Championship Of Poker

The great tournament director and industry veteran, Linda Johnson, is on hand at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker.

The Oklahoma State Championship of Poker is made up of a total of 24 events; the 23 event being the championship event that boasts a rather high $3,150 buy-in. The main event is scheduled to begin on February 21st and promises to draw a huge crowd.

Today, the $340 No Limit State Hold’em Championship with a guaranteed $100,000 prize pool played out with 805 entrants and 210 alternates joining in before the dinner break. According to the tournament director, Brooks Turk, the casino is contributing a $15,000 cash award to the best all around player. The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa is an excellent venue for a large poker tournament. Their poker room boasts 30 tables and a variety of daily tournaments with regular Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Seven Card Stud games running around the clock.

Seven tournaments will have been concluded by end of day Sunday. Events include the games HORSE, Stud, Triple Draw and a number of other poker derivations.
