Day 2 Of The PartyPoker Premier League IV Playoffs

Day 2 of the PartyPoker Premier League IV was played yesterday with its “Playoff” qualifying event at the M Resort in Las Vegas. The six TeamParty members played in the final of three heats in an effort to accumulate more points and chips for the final table of the playoff to take place today with the winner going to the Main Event.
The heats are scored as follows:
1st: 17 points
2nd: 13 points
3rd: 10 points
4th: 8 points
5th: 7 points
6th: 5 points
Heading into the action yesterday, the scoreboard was as follows:
Felipe Ramos: 27
Remy Biechel: 25
Ian Frazer: 20
Mike Sexton: 18
Bodo Sbrzesny: 15
Dragan Galic: 15
Dragan Galic came into Wednesday tied last for points and hit the rails in sixth-place when his [K][Q] ran headlong into Felipe Ramos’ pocket aces. Mike Sexton was out next after his top pair [Q][Q] was knocked out when Ian Frazer’s [J][J] where joined with a third. Remy Biechel was the next to go when his [K][J] lost to Frazer’s pocket nines.
Appearing to be on a run, Ian Frazer ended up busting out when his [K][10] didn’t stand to Ramos’ [A][K] and Ramos guaranteed his position as chip leader heading into today’s final.
The final heat came to an end when Ramos chased the flush and failed, losing to Sbrzesny’s two pair.
Yesterday also saw 16 PartyPoker qualifiers battling out for a single seat in the Premier League Main Event worth $100,000. Six qualifers reached the final table of the online qualifier.
In the end, Miguel Proulx and Giovanni Safina were left standing and went to heads up play. After a very close land, Safina claimed victory and his seat in the PartyPoker Premier League Main Event.
Play continues today at the TeamParty final table and the first heat of the Main event is slated to begin tomorrow.
