The $250,000 Guaranteed ChampionChip tournament is Hollywood Poker’s premier weekly tournament. The $250,000 Guaranteed ChampionChip tournament has a buy in of $190+$10 and takes place every Sunday at 14:00 PM.

Players may either buy in directly for the $250,000 ChampionChip tournament or gain entry via qualifier satellites. There are two types of qualifier satellites available; Sit & Go qualifier satellites and multi table tournament qualifier satellites.

The Sit & Go qualifier satellites are set up in a 3 step qualifier structure. Players may either buy in at the first step or skip ahead to subsequent steps. With each progressive step, the buy ins increase. The Sit & Go qualifier step satellite structure is as follows:

Step 2 (Choice of 3 tournaments)
Buy In: $7+1
Buy In: $5+$0.50
Buy In $3+$0.40

Step 3 (Choice of 3 tournaments)
Buy In: $30+$3
Buy In: $20+$2
Buy In: $10+$1

The multi table tournament qualifier satellites are set up in a 2 step qualifier structure. Players may either buy in to the first step and win their way into the second or buy in directly to the second step with a higher buy in. The multi table tournament qualifier satellite structure is as follows:

Buy In: $3+$0.40

Step 2 (Choice of 2 tournaments)
Buy In: $30+$3
Buy In: $20+$2

Qualifier tournaments do not pay out cash prizes, they pay out seats to tournaments with higher buy ins. The number of tickets available in a qualifier is determined by dividing the prize pool by the price of the next step’s buy in. For example, if the value of the next step’s buy in is $30 and there is $300 in the prize pool then the tournament will reward 10 seats to the next step.
