The UBOC Pot Limit Hold’em Six-Max Event Goes To TORREY5

The $530 Pot Limit Hold’em Six-Max Event played out on Friday with 206 entrants participating. When Event 16 of the Ultimate Bet Online Championship (UBOC) was over, member TORREY5 was left standing banking in $27,000 for the win.

The $100,000 guaranteed tournament saw the top 24 players finishing in the money. TORREY5 defeated the top online player in the world, according to the Online Poker Rankings, when he took out David “DSANDS25” Sands heads-up for the big “V.” Sands won a Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) event last May for $259,000 opened the month of August winning the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $90,000. Sands claimed victory two days after last Christmas in the PokerStars $215 rebuy walking away with $44,000. Second place in Friday’s UBOC event gave $16,000 to Sands for his troubles.

Reigning Champion of the Ultimate Bet Aruba Poker Classic, Brandon “AreTheseUtz” Hall also made it to the final table of the high-stakes $530 Pot Limit Hold’em Six-Max Event. If you remember to back in October, Hall took Robert Mizrachi heads-up in the Ultimate Bet Aruba Poker Classic and earned $753,000. Hall finished sixth in Friday’s event and walked away with $5,400.

Event 15 of UBOC4 took place on Thursday. A field of 331 players was attracted to the $320 Omaha High/Low tournament that fell just short of its guarantee. YOSSARIAN80 headlined the 36 players that walked away in the money with a $25,000 purse. Two Team UB members succeeded in making it to the final table. Shawn “westtexasman” Rice came in third place banking $10,000 and 11-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder Phil Hellmuth bunked out at 7th place with $4,200.

Event 17 of UBOC4 is slated for Saturday. The $109 No Limit Hold’em With Rebuys Tournament hits the air at 2:00 ET and has a guaranteed $100,000 prize pool.

The $1,050 UBOC 4 Championship Event is scheduled for this Sunday at 4:00 ET. The tournament was previously scheduled for two days but will run its course over a single afternoon. Phil Hellmuth will be serving as host for the event which features a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
