It seems quite likely that Nevada will be the first state to allow offer residents online poker. Mark Lipparelli, the Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, estimates that operators issued with Nevada State licenses will be providing intra state, real money online poker services before the end of this year.

According to Lipparelli, online poker operators’ license applications will appear on the agenda of the Nevada Gaming Control Board by May or June. Once an operator’s license application is approved, their online poker platform must undergo a series of technical evaluations. The evaluations are scheduled to take place in the late spring and early summer. Lipparelli further stated that it is possible that some online poker rooms might be available to residents of Nevada as soon as this Fall.
